Book Talk ft. Victoria Price

April 19, 2018 | Thursday, 8 p.m. - Midnight

Victoria Price, daughter of film icon Vincent Price, will speak about her newest book, "The Way of Being Lost: A Road Trip To My Truest Self" on April 19, 2018 from 8pm to 9:30pm at Babes of Carytown, with a feature showing of 'The Raven', starring her father, at the Byrd Theatre at 10pm.

This event is part of Victoria Price’s nationwide “Back Roads Book Tour” to share her new book, life experiences, and perspective on saying ‘Yes’ to life. There will be no fee for the book talk, and admission to the Byrd Theatre will be $5.00.

Join the Poe Museum for our April Unhappy Hour! This event will feature live music, a cash bar, light refreshments, and Poe-themed fun for the whole family!

Opening this night, the Poe Museum is proud to be featuring the work of local artist Nicole Pisaniello in her temporary exhibit "Ligeia: Death, Resurrection, and the Female Ideal: Illustrations exploring the works of Edgar Allan Poe." Check out her website to learn more about her work here.

Poetry Talk on "Annabel Lee" with Author Lisa Samia

May 6, 2018 | Sunday, 2 - 2:45 p.m.

Award-winning author Lisa Samia will give a presentation focusing on Poe’s history and the literary devices in his classic poem, “Annabel Lee”. The talk will feature an interactive portion with the audience, and also include two selections of Mrs. Samia’s own poetry of love and heartache, inspired by Poe.

No registration necessary. Included with regular Museum admission (General Admission: Adults - $8. Seniors, AAA members, youth (7-17) - $6. Active military, Museum members, & children ages 6 and under are free).


May Unhappy Hour
